Bonsoir!
A quick little post tonight before I go to sleep..
Has anyone seen the film Amelie?
Remember at the very end when she's running
up all those steps to get to the man that
she's been in love with?
Well, I ran (more like stomped) up those
same stairs this afternoon!
SO MANY STEPS.
Montmartre is known for its
white dome shaped basilica called
Sacre-Coeur which was built in the late 1800's.
Enjoy les photos!
On our way back from the basilica we
stopped at the Little Museum of Chocolate!
Macaroons for days
Chocolate chocolate chocolate
A chocolate eiffel tower? Why not!
The basilica

Walking up the steps towards the top
TONS of people there today
Good night my friends!

i love reading your blog! I'm quickly being flooded with my memories of when i visited paris back in 2009. you're going to my favorite places! my favorite neighborhood in paris was and still is montmartre! snack at Les Deaux Moulins (the amelie cafe!) and buy groceries at the frozen market store across the street :) we bought frozen artichoke hearts and ate them with horseradish mayo back at our hostel. yum! explore all of the staircases, too.. it's kind of like QA in that sense.. if you head back to the louvre soon, drink the drinking chocolate at Angelina's - Coco Chanel was a regular there!
ReplyDeletelove you, banAnna, hope you are well!
OH! also! free moules frites at the Trible Cafe! look it up - best mussels and fries i've ever had!
